Happy Birthday Mimi!
After Madelyn went in for her morning nap William and Mommy got dressed for the day and headed outside. A nice day cannot be wasted. There is work to do. They started by hand raking the soil in the vegetable garden. Mommy wanted to spread the peat moss, but the hand rakes were not doing the trick. They moved on to the flower bed border. A small section needed to be straightened and sunk. Then they spread mulch in the back flower bed and the two walk way flower beds. It looks great!
They took a break. William watched Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and had a snack. Mommy caught up on the blog and had a snack as well. Madelyn woke up soon after and they decided to go outside again. Madelyn cooperated for about 5 minutes in her chair. Mommy and William started to harvest some lemon balm. The way William says it is so cute. Madelyn wanted company so they went to the playset where William played on the slide, seasaw and in the house. Then he moved on to the sandbox. Mommy and Madelyn hung out watching.
Daddy came home today! He went into the office for a couple hours and came home just a few minutes after William woke up from his nap. Everyone was very excited to see him, but Duke seemed to be the most.
Daddy and William got right to work in the yard. Daddy spread the peat moss and rotor tilled the garden. It is set to plant. The plan is Sunday.
The family went to Boston Market for dinner so Mommy didn't have to cook! Both Madelyn and William were great. Madelyn hung out trying to grab everything in reach and William ate a lot!
